How is everyone enjoying the glorious Fall season so far? This is my absolute favorite time of year. The colors, the weather, pumpkin spice, boots and scarves, oh my! 💛🍁🧡
What better way to start the season than going to a Fall Festival? I was so excited to take my little now that she can run around and really enjoy herself. We checked out arts and crafts booths and found some adorable crocheted pumpkins that we can decorate with and cherish every season.
Harper and I played in the bouncy house. We got in some cute selfies (even though we didn’t make it very far) thanks to my friend Edith.📸 Harper collected lots of candy from the friendly vendors. We also got some free swag like an adorable veggie tote to carry our new things around. It was almost like trick or treating!🎃👻🍬
We mingled and signed up for prizes but the best part of all was THE FOOD! There were so many options to choose from. All of the bases were covered with grilled sausage, hot dogs, gumbo, BBQ, corn dogs, you name it! However, I had to go with the BBQ spaghetti! 🍗🍝
Yes, you heard that right, BBQ spaghetti!!! It was so unexpected and delicious! The novelty appealed to me but I was still a wee bit skeptical. I asked the cooks how it was prepared and they shared that they used ground pork instead of beef and BBQ sauce instead of spaghetti sauce. Sold!!!💵 The kicker was that it was only $4 and came with a slice of garlic bread. Also, the lemonade was to die for.🥤🍋😵
I take my first bite and Fall in love.💞 The meat was so tender against the firm noodles while the sauce was spicy! It had peppers and onions and tasted more Italian than I had anticipated. I was expecting a sweeter flavor but it was perfect and I ate every last bite!😋

For dessert, we had cinnamon sugar mini donuts ( not pictured) while my sweet friend shared some fried Oreos with us. The festival did not disappoint with this traditional fair food. They were a perfect finish to a perfect Fall day! ✌️💜🍴
